Desert Appliqué by artist Léa Donnan
made of salvaged crochet, wood, synthetic rope
supported by High Desert Test Sites, Joshua Tree, California
Oh I’m so in love with this! Isn’t this the coolest campsite you have ever seen?! I saw that first picture on tumblr and pinterest quite a lot the last years but never checked what it was all about or who’s work it was! So if you ever wondered, artist Léa Donnan designed those tents made of salvaged crocheted blankets for the arts organizationHigh Desert Test Site in Joshua Tree. Desert Appliqué was set up in 2013. So sad it’s to late to visit!
