“Kate Wolfgang Savage is a contemporary conceptual naturalist. Her drawings and paintings combine images of the figure and landscape. She lives and paints Venice, California. Kate was home-schooled in rural New Hampshire as a child. She attended Skidmore College on a scholarship and graduated first in her class with a degree in fine art. Her studies in representational drawing and painting continued at The Art Students League of New York and Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia.Kate has been an instructor at Studio Incamminati, The Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art, The Bay Area Classical Art Atelier and at her locally hosted Venice Figure Drawing.Kate took up residency in Venice after a six-month cross-country landscape-painting road trip in 2010. She is currently working to expand the idea of what it means to be a “feminine human being”.”
