Today we are pretty excited to introduce our latest Marketplace label to you: Aanya
Aanya is a curation of unique bohemian inspired pieces for today’s creative nomads and wanderers. They believe in ethical and fair trade values and are committed to create fashion that resonates with their personal and brand standards. And we are absolutely loving their designs!

Tell us about Aanya.
Aanya is an ethically sourced bohemian brand that promotes craft & cause through our unique curation of lifestyle products, from clothing to accessories. Made for today’s creative nomads and wanderers, and designed to be feminine and memorable. The brand was founded by Ishita Desai.
What are three words you would use to describe the girl that wears Aanya?
The #AanyaGirl is free, expressive and consumed by curiosity. She seeks creative freedom and self-reflection in her style and manner. Made with the #AanyaGirl in mind, our pieces are light, comfortable and versatile for home or her travels abroad. Each garment is ethically made with love and care in India.
Where and when do you feel most inspired?
I find inspiration in my travels, experiences I have, stories I read and people I meet. When you take a second to step back, there’s really a lot of beauty everywhere; it comes down to your interpretation, self-reflection and creation.
What are you most proud off?
Building this brand from scratch and positioning it within the market is no easy feat when fashion is such a saturated industry – especially in the digital space. However, seeing the business grow and understanding the impression and impact it has left thus far on different communities makes it all worth it. Seeing our customers in their Aanya pieces is also an extremely rewarding experience. Being on this journey means that I can continue to shape and grow Aanya & the communities we work with and I couldn’t be more grateful.
The mantras you live by…
Pay it forward – I truly believe in giving whenever and wherever you can. The start up community in Hong Kong, local communities we work with in India, and the greater Aanya family have all provided the support & inspiration for the brand so far and the goal is to give even more back to these groups and do my job as a global citizen!
Where will the next stamp on your passport be from?
I’m contemplating between Thailand & Bali but definitely a tropical paradise in South East Asia!
What’s next? What’s your vision for the future of your brand?
This year will allow me to explore more projects & ideas and collaborate with more communities & organisations. There are a few projects in the pipeline and I’m very excited to share that with the rest of the world!
