Behind the Labels – Bohemian Diesel Marketplace
Starting this wonderful new year with the latest addition to our Marketplace: DIR69
I am super excited to finally introduce this gorgeous new label to you! Lovingly handmade embroidered kimonos, tops and flowy dresses and skirts in bright colors….
But find out more about DIR69 in the little write up they did for our “Behind the Labels – Bohemian Diesel Marketplace” series below:
‘DIR 69 is a Bohemian Design Co. set up by Indian fashion designer Tanu Bagai. Being the number plate of her beloved first family car, the name was chosen to intrigue while keeping the same nostalgic, innocent and “fun” spirit of a childhood memory. The first collection was launched in June 2006, gathering acclaim for its unique quirky style, spread to almost all leading retail designer hot spots across India, within the next few years.
Our designs reflect current & classic trends that appeal to a vast range of people. An eclectic mix of Indian roots with a global appeal, where Boho Chic meets comfy casual street style. Each and every piece is lovingly created in house by our small team of highly skilled artisans. We take pride in the details and craftsmanship that goes into every product, from using quality materials to impeccable finishes. We are very fortunate to be based out of India and have the opportunity to work with skilled artisans, craftsmen, weavers and embroiderers .They form an Integral part of our creative process.
Artsy at heart, boho gypsy inspired clothing and accessories for those who are free of borders. Each of our products is lovingly designed and made in our studio in sunny India , using the highest quality materials and craftsmanship.’
