When being a fan of boho style, traveling all over the world, discovering young authentic brands and interesting pieces slowly became more than just a hobby for Evguenia and her husband a dream was born in their hearts: The Boho Bazaar. You might have already seen some of these amazing bags worn by beauties like Corina from Wild & Free, Hails from fridayiminlovexo or Rocky Barnes. Gorgeous Evguenia was so kind to answer a few questions about her label which I now want to share with you!
Who is behind Boho Bazaar?
Behind Boho Bazaar there is me (Evguenia Vojakina) and my husband :). I am Russian, but moved to Switzerland (Geneva – french speaking part of this country) many many years ago. Was always passionate about fashion and style. Being of Russian origin, I lived my childhood in cold winters, maybe that’s why my desire for sun, sea and colours is so strong 🙂
When, where, and how did the company start?
We began in may 2013.
What is the intention behind Boho Bazaar?
We created our own brand The Boho Bazaar – We produce and design our own Fringe bags.. ALL our bags are HANDMADE! Here you can find all your dreams about fringes… Cross bodies, hobos, clutches…. in different colours and different styles: cowboy, rock, modern, minimalism…. but always with the bohemian touch…We are also starting our own clothes brand BB – handmade, unique kimonos, dresses and blouses. All pieces show brighter your individuality. We also sell other brands – brands we love – Goddis, Raga, Mate the Label, Sugarhighlovestoned etc…Our bags are worn by many famous european, american and australian bloggers, stars, women from all continents…
How would you descirbe your own personal style?
With age I became totally in harmony with myself and my style is absolutely the reflection of my inner world. I am free in expressing myself. Bohemian city style, cool relaxed, a bit rock – mixture of different textures and individual bright bags. Love to feel free and relaxed and different :))
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I am singing…It is also my passion and my total devotion… Am working on my first album now…Also my family. I have two boys and my family is my everything.
Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration everywhere… Travelling, Streets, markets, movies, photos, fabrics… Creativity… Everything that is handmade with love warms my heart…
And another inspiration is sea and sun. Sun gives the desire to fly, sea – is just everything for me. Especially in Europe, where we do not have much sun – I would like to bring this light, bright, colourful items that will remind us of beautiful moments and make a difference with grey reality and grey fashion.
What is your favorite part about your job?
Creation. Searching for beauty. Looking for new brands, new looks. And what makes me really happy – when our client is happy. That is why client service in our company is really top! We always reply on every email very shortly and try to solve any problem asap.
Do you have any advice for women trying to find or create their dream job?
Dream job for me is to do what you love with people whom you love or like and who support your crazy ideas. If you have a dream you should at least try to go towards it. Even if it is crazy. Very often the fear of failure stops us from starting something new. Me personally, I have a legal background and I had working experience in many different fields. I was working in magazine, writing articles and doing marketing and big events, then I was involved in the construction of a buddhist monastery, then I had beautiful time spent for my family and my new born baby and finally – The Boho Bazaar an my singing. I aways tried to do what I believed in and what I was passionate about. And I think – this is the key to success. And last but not least – support of your family. I always had support of my beloved husband and my parents.
