SEARCHING FOR BARDOT

tuesday inspo
Bouffant hair, dark smoky eyes and pale nude lips…
I was completely delighted when I discoverd the beautiful new Bardot inspired
lookbook from Nic del Mar today.
Oh I want to feel the sand between my toes and the ocean breeze that ruffles my
hair again. It´s been so long… way too long!  But I have to be patient, just 5 more
weeks. And then I finally will breath salty air again. Always feel miserable when
haven´t been at the ocean for a long time. I will never understand the people who
rather buy a new car or something material than to take the chance to wander at a
lonely beach and see something new in the world.
“I would rather own little and see the world, than own the world and see little of it.”
However! Only 37 days left till our roadtrip through France and Spain starts, and oh
yes thats why I actually did this inspo today, on our way back we will also pass Saint
Tropez, the place where one of the most beautiful and inspiring women ever, BB, lives
out of the world for years now. So I will be literally “searching for Bardot” there. 😉
On the abandoned beach
Seashells and shellfish
Who would have thought they’d deplore the loss of the summer
Which have since gone away
We put the holidays away
In cardboard-made suitcases
And it is sad when we think of the season
Of the sun and the songs
Though I know that next year
The flowers will bloom again
But meanwhile I am in sorrow
To leave the sea and my house
The mistral wind will be accustomed
To blow without the sailing boats
And it is in my dishevelled hair
That I will miss it most
My dear friend, The Sun
Will only burn from a long way off
Believing that we are a little crossed
To be both separated
The train will take me along towards the autumn
To find the city under the rain
My grief is for no-one.
I will keep him like a dear friend
But on the first days of Summer
With all the problems forgotten
We will return to celebrate with the shellfish
Of the sunny beach
Of the sunny beach
Of the sunny beach
  “La Madrague”
A famous French song, reportedly inspired by Bardot’s house
in Saint-Tropez, recorded byBrigitte Bardot in 1963.
